AI Receptionists for Law Firms & Professional Services

Intake and reception for professional firms: screen new inquiries, collect what your team needs to follow up, route existing clients' messages — without giving legal, tax or coverage advice.

The calls a firm receives

Law firms, accountants, insurance agencies and consultants get two kinds of calls: new enquiries from people who might become clients, and existing clients who want to reach someone about their matter, return or policy. New enquiries need the right questions asked up front; existing clients need a reliable message or a quick transfer.

How a RingMind assistant handles them

The Legal Intake Receptionist screens new matters, collects the intake details your team needs (name, contact details, type of matter and a short description) and takes consultation requests. It never gives legal advice, never comments on the strength of a case and doesn't promise that the firm will take a matter. Existing clients' messages are taken with urgency, or the caller is transferred to someone on the transfer list.

Connect Calendly, Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook (Beta) and it can book consultations into open slots; otherwise each request goes to your team. CRM integrations such as HubSpot or Salesforce (Beta) can capture new enquiries as leads when you enable them. Every call has a transcript, so whoever follows up knows what was said.

Accounting firms, agencies and consultants can use the General Business Receptionist today. See AI receptionists for law firms, accounting firms and insurance agencies.

Limits to know

The assistant doesn't run conflict checks, doesn't connect to practice-management software and doesn't give legal, tax or coverage advice. It answers a RingMind number; an existing US number can be moved to RingMind, which usually takes one to three weeks.

Questions about AI assistants for legal & professional

Will the assistant give legal advice?

No. It collects intake details and requests consultations, and tells callers a lawyer will follow up. It won't assess a case or predict an outcome.

What does it ask new enquiries?

Their name, contact details, the type of matter and a short description, plus anything you add to its instructions. It reads the details back before ending the call.

Can it book consultations?

Yes, with Calendly, Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook connected (Beta). Otherwise it takes a consultation request your team confirms.

Does it run conflict checks?

No. It gathers the details your team needs to run its own checks before taking on a matter.

Can existing clients reach their lawyer or accountant?

The assistant can transfer callers to up to five people on its transfer list, or take a message marked with its urgency.

Is there an assistant for accountants or insurance agencies?

Both are planned. Today, the general business receptionist works with your own services, instructions and FAQs.
