Your assistant can hand a live call to a person when the caller asks for someone or it can't help.
Setting it up
- On the assistant's page, fill in the Transfer list: up to five people or departments, each with a name (for example Front desk or Maria, bookings) and a phone number in international format, such as +13125550123.
- In Tools, turn on Transfer calls.
- Publish the assistant and make sure it's connected to a number.
What callers hear
The assistant tells the caller who it's transferring them to, then connects the call. It picks the person from your list based on what the caller asked for, so clear names help: Billing works better than Line 2.
Good to know
- The person you transfer to sees your RingMind number as the caller ID.
- Once transferred, the call is between the caller and that person. Turn on Take a message too, so callers can leave details instead when your team is busy.
- Transfers only go to the numbers on the list; callers can't ask to be connected anywhere else.
Testing
Call your number and ask for someone on the list. The call appears in Calls & Messages with its transcript, so you can check what the assistant said.
