Questions it's meant for
How assistants are released
Each RingMind assistant ships with its own instructions, safety rules and a test suite, and is offered only once every test passes. Join early access to hear when this one is ready.
Tools it would work with
Callers speak more than one language
In many communities a share of callers would rather speak Spanish, French, Mandarin or another language. If the person who answers can't follow them, the call ends without help, and the business may never know why.
How the planned Multilingual Receptionist is meant to work
The planned assistant would detect the caller's language and continue in it, answer from your approved knowledge in each supported language, record the caller's preferred language with every message so the callback is in the right language, and transfer callers to staff who speak it when available. You would choose the languages and greeting wording. This assistant is planned and not available yet.
Use RingMind for this today
You can start with the General Business Receptionist, with one clear limit: each assistant uses the one language you choose in its settings and doesn't switch per caller.
- Business details and knowledge: fill in your details and approved FAQs as usual (knowledge base help).
- Transfer list: add staff who speak your callers' languages, up to five, and note in each name or in the instructions which language they speak (transfers).
- Additional instructions: tell it to offer a transfer to a staff member who speaks the caller's language, and to note the preferred language in any message it takes.
- Testing: try conversations in the languages your callers use in the playground before you publish (testing help).
- Numbers: the assistant answers a RingMind number for the US or Canada.
Test carefully, since templates and their tests are written in English. See call transfers.
