Custom AI Assistant

RingMind Custom AI Assistant Brain · on the roadmap

Custom AI Assistant: Start from a blank assistant.

For businesses whose calls don't fit any industry template. It is planned as a blank assistant where the business writes its own role, questions and rules from scratch.

Available to use today

General Business AI Receptionist

Start from the General Business Receptionist and shape it with your own greeting, extra instructions, approved knowledge, connected integrations and up to five transfer targets, then test it in the playground before publishing.

What it's planned to handle

Start from a blank assistant.

  • Follows a role and instructions the business writes itself
  • Collects the specific details the business defines for each call
  • Uses only the integrations and transfers the business chooses
  • Runs the business's own test conversations before it goes live

What you'd fill in

  • The assistant's role and tone
  • What it should and shouldn't do
  • The details to collect from callers
  • Transfer targets and integrations to use
  • Test conversations it must pass

Questions it's meant for

Caller: “I'd like to book a session at your studio.”
Caller: “Do you have the part I need in stock?”
Caller: “Can I leave a message for the owner?”

How assistants are released

Each RingMind assistant ships with its own instructions, safety rules and a test suite, and is offered only once every test passes. Join early access to hear when this one is ready.

Tools it would work with

When no template fits

Plenty of businesses don't match an industry template: a pottery studio, a parts supplier, a community hall. They still get calls about bookings, stock and messages for the owner, and want an assistant that follows their own rules.

How the planned Custom AI Assistant is meant to work

The planned assistant would start blank. You would write its role and tone, what it should and shouldn't do, the details to collect on each call, and which integrations and transfers it uses, then run your own test conversations before it goes live. This assistant is planned and not available yet.

Use RingMind for this today

The General Business Receptionist is flexible enough to shape into most of this now:

  1. Business details and greeting: describe your business and write your own greeting.
  2. Additional instructions: write the role, tone, the details to collect from each caller, and what it should never do. Its built-in safety rules always apply (assistant setup help).
  3. Knowledge base: add approved FAQs, web pages or .txt/.md documents for everything callers ask (knowledge base help).
  4. Connected tools: connect only the integrations you want, such as Google Calendar for bookings, HubSpot for leads, Airtable for records or n8n for your own workflows (integrations help).
  5. Transfer list: add up to five people.
  6. Test and publish: run the built-in tests and try it in the playground, then publish and connect a US or Canada number.
