Ready-made AI receptionist templates for your industry

RingMind Brains are ready-made assistants for particular kinds of business. You pick one, fill in your details, add your knowledge and test it, rather than writing instructions from scratch.

What a RingMind Brain is

A brain is a template for an AI assistant in one line of work. It comes with:

  • Instructions for the role, such as a hotel front desk or a plumbing company's intake.
  • Business details to fill in, including required ones. The dental assistant needs your emergency policy; the restaurant assistant needs the party size you treat as a large group.
  • Guardrails that every assistant follows: say it's an AI when asked, never invent prices or facts, never take card numbers, tell callers in a life-threatening emergency to call 911. Some brains add their own, such as no legal advice for law firms.
  • Test scenarios the brain must pass before it's offered, such as a burst-pipe call for plumbers or a fair-housing question for real-estate agents.

Browse the catalog on the AI assistants page. Each card shows whether that assistant is available now or still in testing.

Built brains and planned ones

The catalog lists many more brains than have been built. A first set of launch brains is built, each with its own tests: dental offices, hotels, restaurants, plumbers, HVAC, salons and spas, law firms, real estate, property management, online stores, a personal secretary and a general business receptionist. Others, such as assistants for vacation rentals, accounting firms or home services trades beyond plumbing and HVAC, are planned. RingMind only offers a brain once its tests pass, so a planned brain is never presented as ready.

Making a template yours

  1. Choose a brain and create an assistant from it. Your assistant is pinned to that brain version.
  2. Fill in your business details: hours, services, prices you want quoted, policies.
  3. Add knowledge in the Knowledge Base: FAQs, a page from your website you review section by section, or .txt and .md documents. Only approved items are used.
  4. Adjust the greeting and add instructions. Extra instructions aren't covered by the brain's tests, so try them in the playground.
  5. Run the tests against your own assistant and try conversations in the chat playground.
  6. Publish and connect a RingMind number, SMS, WhatsApp or the website chat widget.

Connecting tools

A template can use the integrations you connect, such as Google Calendar or Calendly for booking and HubSpot for leads. Without a calendar, assistants take booking requests and say the team will confirm. Integrations are in Beta.

For agencies

Agencies can build an assistant once and copy it into client workspaces as a draft, then adjust each client's details. See agencies.

Limits to know

Phone numbers are US and Canada only, porting isn't available yet, and assistants don't place outbound calls. Plans are on the pricing page.

Questions

What's the difference between a template and a custom assistant?

A template, or brain, comes with role instructions, required business details, guardrails and tests for an industry. You add your own details, knowledge and instructions on top.

Is there a template for my industry?

Check the AI assistants page. Built brains show their live status; planned ones are listed as not available yet. The general business receptionist covers businesses without a specific brain.

Can I change the template's instructions?

You can change the greeting and add your own instructions. The brain's guardrails stay in place, and your additions aren't part of its tests, so try them in the playground.

Are templates tested?

Yes. A brain must pass its full test suite before it's offered, and you can run its general tests against your own assistant before publishing.
