What it's planned to handle
Books automotive service appointments.
- Books service appointments into open slots on the shop's connected calendar
- Matches the requested service (oil change, tire change, inspection, detailing) to the right appointment length
- Handles reschedule and cancellation requests for existing appointments
- Collects vehicle details and any notes the technician should see before the visit
What you'd fill in
- Services offered and how long each takes
- Booking hours and how far ahead customers can book
- Your cancellation and no-show policy
- Which calendar holds your service schedule
Questions it's meant for
How assistants are released
Each RingMind assistant ships with its own instructions, safety rules and a test suite, and is offered only once every test passes. Join early access to hear when this one is ready.
Tools it would work with
A full schedule needs a staffed phone
Tire shops, detailers, quick-lube bays and service departments make money by keeping bays booked. When nobody can answer, a caller who wanted an oil change tomorrow books elsewhere, and reschedule requests pile up as voicemails or missed calls that someone has to chase later.
How the planned Automotive Appointment Assistant is meant to work
The planned assistant would book service appointments into open slots on your connected calendar, match each service to the right appointment length, handle reschedules and cancellations, and collect vehicle details and notes the technician should see. It would follow your booking hours and how far ahead customers can book. This assistant is planned and not available yet.
Use RingMind for this today
Booking already works with the General Business Receptionist when a calendar is connected:
- Business details: list each service and how long it takes, plus booking hours and your cancellation and no-show policy.
- Connected tools: connect Calendly, Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook and enable the booking tools on the assistant (integrations help). It only offers times the calendar shows as open.
- Knowledge base: add FAQs about seasonal tire changes, wait times and what to bring.
- Additional instructions: tell it to collect year, make and model and any notes for the technician with each booking.
- Transfer list: add the service desk for anything it shouldn't handle.
One honest limit: the calendar tools book new appointments, so reschedule and cancellation requests are taken as messages for your team. Read more on AI appointment booking.
