Tools it would work with
Delivery questions come in waves
Couriers and businesses that deliver their own goods get a rush of calls every delivery day: is it still coming, can you leave it next door, the driver left a card. Each call is short, but dispatch can't take them while managing drivers, and delivery details should only go to the right person.
How the planned Delivery Status Assistant is meant to work
The planned assistant would verify the caller with the delivery reference and the name or phone number on the delivery, give the status from your connected system after verification, take delivery instructions such as gate codes for dispatch to confirm, and record missed, damaged or missing deliveries for your team. It would never share addresses, times or driver details before verification. This assistant is planned and not available yet.
Use RingMind for this today
The General Business Receptionist can take the pressure off dispatch now:
- Business details: add your delivery areas and delivery windows.
- Knowledge base: write FAQs for what happens after a missed delivery, how to rebook, and how to report damaged or missing items (knowledge base help).
- Additional instructions: ask it to take the delivery reference, name and number with any status request or delivery instruction, and not to confirm any delivery details itself.
- Transfer list: add a dispatcher for urgent problems.
- Messaging: turn on SMS and WhatsApp so customers can message instead of calling (SMS and WhatsApp).
Status requests and problems arrive as messages with urgency marked, which your team can turn into tasks. It doesn't read your delivery system today. See the SMS text assistant page.
